PRO BASKETBALL: Former FSU center Michael Ojo dies during training in Serbia

BELGRADE, Serbia — Former Florida State University center Michael Ojo died on Friday after collapsing during training in Serbia, his former team Red Star Belgrade said. He was 27.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: SEC announces medical protocols

The Southeastern Conference will require football players and others in direct contact with the program to be tested at least twice weekly during the season. The league on Friday released its initial covid-19 requirements for fall sports, including football.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: DeSantis pushes to reschedule UF-FSU game

TALLAHASSEE — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said he will push to get the annual football game between Florida State and the University of Florida rescheduled, saying Thursday that keeping the famed rivalry going will be good for the state.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: New FSU schedule released by ACC

The ACC announced the updated football schedules for 2020 season on Thursday. Florida State will open the season with consecutive home games against Georgia Tech on Sept. 12 and Samford on Sept. 19, which will serve as the team’s one non-conference opponent under the revised schedule.

CORONAVIRUS: Signs ominous and hopeful as college sports hang in balance
