Mann withdrew his name from the NBA draft Tuesday and plans to stay in school at least another year, a significant and somewhat expected development for fifth-year coach Mike White.

PREP FOOTBALL: Allen still holding off on summer workouts due to covid-19, optimism waning for start of season

As a result, the guidelines for high school summer workouts haven’t changed and Columbia coach Brian Allen is no longer optimistic about getting his players back on the field.
He has serious concerns about the season, too.

In fact, only two did, and Madison Plyn was the first.
Plyn’s teams weren’t the best of the past decade but it wasn’t due to her lack of talent.

NFL: Preseason cut in half, start gets pushed back

CORONAVIRUS: FHSAA Task Force recommends delayed start for fall practices

The start of fall practices may begin in August instead of July.
Maybe even in September.
The Florida High School Athletic Association’s Fall Sports Task Force voted 8-7 on Wednesday morning to push back the start of fall sports two weeks to Aug. 10 at the earliest due to the coronavirus pandemic.
