MLB: Rays shock Dodgers in 9th to tie World Series 2-2

ARLINGTON, Texas — Brett Phillips squatted on the field crying, Randy Arozarena sprawled in the dirt pounding his hands on home plate. Tears of joy, smacks of celebration — and a crucial, crazy win for the scrappy Tampa Bay Rays.

JACKSONVILLE — The Jacksonville Jaguars placed veteran running back Chris Thompson on the COVID-19 list Saturday. He did not make the cross-country trip to Los Angeles to play the Chargers. The Jaguars (1-5) activated running back Devine Ozigbo from the injured reserve/designated for return list.

PREP FOOTBALL: Suwannee ‘D’ pitches another shutout against Ponte Vedra

LIVE OAK — Six times Ponte Vedra had possession in Suwannee territory Friday night including three times in the red zone. No problem for the Bulldogs, though. For the third straight game, Suwannee’s defense recorded a shutout as the Bulldogs won 14-0 at Langford Stadium.

ARLINGTON, Texas — Walker Buehler pitched in the World Series like the Los Angeles Dodgers' aces of old. Think Sandy Koufax, Fernando Valenzuela and Orel Hershiser, all leaders of title runs. Now Buehler has the Dodgers two wins from the championship that has eluded them since 1988.
