PREP FOOTBALL: Furious finish sends Suwannee past Baker County

MACCLENNY — A fast start and a furious finish sends Suwannee into the playoffs with momentum. The Bulldogs scored twice early and twice late to rally past Baker County 35-32 at Memorial Stadium on Friday night.

PREP CROSS COUNTRY: Suwannee, Fort White & Branford come up short at regional meets

Suwannee’s boys cross country team placed 8th and the girls 11th at the Region 1-2A Meet on Friday at New World Golf in Jacksonville, coming up short of state berths. Hunter Land led the boys in 44th (18:32.60), followed by Jesse Cushman in 46th (18:37.20), Jack Fry in 63rd (19:16.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Struggling Florida State, Pittsburgh look to get on track
