BRANFORD — For most of Wednesday’s practice — the first with shoulder pads — there wasn’t much for the Branford defense to hang their tricorne on. But late in the defensive period, Caden Coker dropped back into coverage as Kyson Johnson rolled out and the junior picked off the pass.
