COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Playoff to expand to 12 teams by 2026 season

After 14 1/2 months of haggling over details and questioning motivations, a plan to expand the College Football Playoff from four teams to 12 was finally approved Friday to set the stage for a multibillion-dollar tournament as soon as the 2024 season.

Buchholz gave teams the blueprint for beating Columbia. Rush three and drop eight into coverage. Prove the Tigers can beat it. Columbia’s offensive line couldn’t last week. The unit to block a limited rush — giving up three sacks — and couldn’t generate much of a running game either.
