BOYS BASKETBALL: Columbia routs Rickards for first district title since 2020

Two years without a district title was too many for Columbia head coach Steve Faulkner. He made that clear to the Tigers before they took the floor for Friday’s District 2-5A championship. And after one quarter, it was clear they listened.

BOYS BASKETBALL: Columbia aims to win first district title since 2020 against Rickards

Four years ago, Columbia ended a 19-year district title drought. Then, the Tigers went back-to-back en route to their first Final Four berth since 1968. It set a new standard for basketball at Columbia, one the Tigers are aiming to reach again after coming up empty handed the past two seasons.

PREP SPORTS: FHSAA cuts menstrual questions from athletic forms amid criticism

ORLANDO — Questions about female athletes’ menstrual history will no longer appear on the medical forms that Florida high school students have to fill out before participating in sports, though the new form will still ask athletes for their sex assigned at birth, rather than just their sex.
