One killed, three injured in Jasper wreck

JASPER — A Jasper man was killed Saturday when the pickup he was driving overturned on County Road 249. The 39-year-old was headed east on CR 249 around 4:45 p.m. when it traveled off onto the north shoulder for unknown reasons, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

13 locals honored among NFC oustanding students

LIVE OAK — Finding a new use for a hand tool landed a Live Oak woman in jail Tuesday. According to a Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office report, 68-year-old Cynthia Platt was involved in a verbal dispute with a victim outside her residence on 122nd Street just south of Live Oak around 4 p.m. Tuesday.
