Suwannee County Fair back after two-year break

LIVE OAK — The carnival lights are returning to the country nights of the Suwannee County Fair once again. For the first time since 2019, the Suwannee County Fairgrounds, 1302 11th St. SW in Live Oak, will be bustling with the fair for nine days, starting today.

Hamilton Co. supervisor wants new voting stickers

JASPER — The Hamilton County Supervisor of Elections Office is looking for a few good artists. Leading up to the primary and general elections later this year, the office is opening up a contest through May 13 to school-age children in the county to design a new “I Voted” sticker.

Drunk driver crashes into mobile home

LIVE OAK — A high speed chase, triggered by an alleged inebriated driver cutting off a Suwannee County deputy, ended when the suspect crashed into a mobile home, causing thousands of dollars worth of damage.
