Perkins, Mobley elected to Suwannee commission

LIVE OAK — There will be two new faces on the Suwannee County Board of County Commissioners. Maurice Perkins and Leo Mobley were elected onto the commission Tuesday in convincing fashion. Perkins, who was elected from District 2, received 820 votes to 532 ballots cast for Stefan Blue.

MIAMI — U.S. Rep. Charlie Crist won the Democratic nomination for governor in Florida on Tuesday, setting him up to challenge Gov. Ron DeSantis this fall in a campaign that the Republican incumbent sees as the first step toward a potential White House run.

Fauci to step down at year’s end
