Suwannee County resource deputies hosting Bash

LIVE OAK — Suwannee County students can meet their school resource officers and have some food and fun today. The North Central Florida Resource Officers Caring for Kids non-profit organization is hosting a Back to School Bash at Suwannee Springcrest Elementary from 4-7 p.m. today.

LO man dead after single-vehicle wreck

LIVE OAK — A Suwannee County man is dead after an early morning crash along County Road 250. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 60-year-old Live Oak man was driving alone eastbound on CR-250 near the intersection of 167th Road around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Back-to-School Bash, Meet the Teacher dates set

LIVE OAK – There won’t be one large Back-to-School Bash for Suwannee County students. Rather, there will be smaller school supply giveaways scheduled for Meet the Teacher events at each school within the Suwannee County School District on Monday and Tuesday.

WASHINGTON — A U.S. drone strike in Afghanistan this weekend killed Ayman al-Zawahri, who took over as al-Qaida leader after Osama bin Laden’s death in a U.S. raid.

Withlacoochee receives all clear
