Lafayette BOCC: No permanent solution to rough dirt roads

MAYO — There’s no question that SE Arabian Road, a dirt road that connects State Road 349 and U.S. Highway 27, is in bad shape. But there is no easy solution to fixing the problems with the road, Lafayette County officials told residents at Monday’s County Commission meeting.

LIVE OAK — After two wet months, North Florida started to dry out in September. The Suwannee River Water Management District’s hydrologic conditions report for the month, released Tuesday, showed that rainfall in the area was down 3% compared to the historical average from 1932-2021.
