Man killed in shootout with trooper

LIVE OAK — An officer-involved shooting at the Live Oak Busy Bee on Tuesday ended with one person dead. According to a Florida Highway Patrol release late Tuesday night, an FHP trooper was involved in a shooting at the gas station north of the Interstate 10 and U.S.

Live Oak man killed crossing U.S. 90

WELLBORN — A Live Oak man was killed Saturday night when he was hit trying to cross U.S. Highway 90 in Wellborn. The Florida Highway Patrol said the man, a 36-year-old, was crossing U.S. 90 west of the intersection with County Road 137 in Wellborn around 7:55 p.m.

Semi driver killed in I-75 crash

WHITE SPRINGS — A driver was killed Sunday afternoon when his semi tractor trailer rear-ended another on Interstate 75 in Suwannee County.

No injuries in bin collapse

LIVE OAK — A collapsed grain bin at a Live Oak feed mill has left behind a major cleanup project. A grain bin at the Pilgrim’s Feed Mill on the west side of Live Oak right along U.S. Highway 90 ruptured and started spilling corn around 3:20 p.m. Thursday before it collapsed.

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa.  — A furry critter in a western Pennsylvania town has predicted six more weeks of winter during an annual Groundhog Day celebration.
