Suwannee’s baseball team was limited to just two hits in an 8-0 road loss to St. Johns Country Day on Thursday night. Austin Stratmann pitched a complete game for the Spartans (5-2), striking out 13 batters while walking just one.

ALACHUA — Columbia blew a four-run lead, then flirted with losing the game. But thanks to a huge hit from Max Schuler and some gutsy pitching from freshman Nolan Slaymaker, the Tigers danced away with a win in extra innings instead.
