MAYO — Lafayette broke a 1-1 tie with five runs in the sixth inning and then held on for a 6-4 win over Suwannee at home Thursday night. Kambry Moseley put the Hornets (9-5) in front with an RBI double in the bottom of the sixth.

The Columbia boys and Suwannee girls track & field teams split victories at the Suwannee Mini Meet on Tuesday. The CHS boys tallied 118 points ahead of the SHS boys, who were runners-up with 64. The SHS girls won with 112 points ahead of Eastside (95) and Columbia (75).

A six-run first inning propelled Suwannee to a 7-0 win over Yulee at home Friday night. Kyler Watson finished 2 for 2 with a double and two RBIs for the Bulldogs (8-5) as they won their fourth straight. Dillon Greene, Koy Frier, Gabe Garcia and Grayson Bonds each added an RBI in the win.
