FORT WHITE — If the third time’s the charm, the Indians’ fourth time is history. Fort White rode the bat of N’Coreyia Atkins and the arm of Kadence Compton on its way to a 3-1 win against Lafayette in the Region 3-1A semifinals.

PREP TRACK & FIELD: Beach nabs 3 medals to lead Suwannee at 2A state meet

GAINESVILLE —  Suwannee boys track coach Mark Beach saw a change in his son Garrison at the regional meet last week. Looking relaxed, Garrison Beach unleashed a personal best throw of 52.93m in the javelin to qualify for state.

NFL: Top pick Travon Walker signing $37.4M contract with Jaguars

JACKSONVILLE — No. 1 overall draft pick Travon Walker and the Jacksonville Jaguars agreed to terms Thursday on a four-year, $37.4 million contract that includes a $24.4 million signing bonus.
