NFL: Drafting Walker at No. 1 'lit a fire under' Jags' Chaisson

JACKSONVILLE — K’Lavon Chaisson has two sacks in two seasons while playing in two schemes for two defensive coordinators. It’s far from ideal, and the 20th overall pick in the 2020 draft acknowledges as much. Chaisson might even be considered one of the many faces of Jacksonville's failures.

DESTIN — The Southeastern Conference’s slogan, “It just means more,” could soon refer to the number of football games the league schedules. SEC coaches and athletic directors have been meeting this week at a resort on the Gulf Coast of Florida.

NBA: Horford's wait is over, former Gator gets Finals shot with Celtics

MIAMI — The game was over. So, finally, was Al Horford’s journey. He grabbed what would be the final rebound of the Eastern Conference finals, threw the ball skyward, sprinted to join his teammates in celebration and then dropped to his knees to slap the floor. His time has come.

COMMENTARY: Fort White’s seniors bring perspective to the state of softball

When Gracie Clemons hit the last pitch her team will see for the next several months, the scream of aluminum bashing cork ripped through the air in Clermont so loud the folks back home in Columbia County probably mistook it for thunder. Time stood still in that fraction of a second.
