JACKSONVILLE — Kenny Pickett’s second preseason performance was as impressive as his first, and it came against better competition. Pittsburgh’s rookie quarterback completed 6 of 7 passes for 76 yards and a touchdown in a 16-15 victory at Jacksonville on Saturday night.

BRANFORD — Early in the first quarter of Friday’s Preseason Classic, a light atop a pole near the south end zone of Cleve Sikes Field at Buccaneer Stadium burned out, sending sparks flying down to the ground. A few minutes later, another bulb died.

JACKSONVILLE — Coming off a career year and still well shy of his 30th birthday, Malcom Brown should be able to help an NFL team this season. It just won’t be Jacksonville. The Jaguars released the veteran defensive tackle Wednesday, a move that will save the franchise $3 million in 2022.
