BOYS BASKETBALL — Suwannee 69, Lafayette 56: Amarie Fleming had 23 points and nine rebounds while Jordan Murphy had 10 points and four steals in the loss for the Hornets (5-4) at home Monday night to the Bulldogs (3-6). Jalen Hill also grabbed 11 rebounds to go with five points for LHS.

GIRLS SOCCER: Columbia holds on for win against Wakulla after Sossie's PK

Columbia spent most of its night where it wanted to be. Not necessarily at the cold, windy fields of the Columbia Youth Soccer Association fields Thursday night. But more specifically, the Tigers practically lived on the Wakulla side of the field in their matchup.

After a pair of ties in its two most recent games, Columbia seemingly needed someone or something on which to take out its frustrations. Enter winless Eastside on a cold, windy night in Lake City.

BOYS BASKETBALL: 4th-quarter run propels Columbia past Orange Park to snap 3-game skid

Columbia appeared on the verge of another poor shooting night Thursday against Orange Park with a nine-point first quarter. But after struggling to score for three straight games, somebody finally joined Zamarion Jones to provide a much-needed offensive punch for the Tigers.

BOYS SOCCER — Gainesville 3, Suwannee 1: Joel De La Cruz scored a goal but the Bulldogs (6-8) fell to the Hurricanes (2-4-1) at home Thursday night. Goalkeeper AJ Hitt and Waylon Richard combined to make three saves for SHS.
