LIVE OAK — With an eye on “bigger ball,” Thomas Sikes has headed north. The rising junior that has started at quarterback for Branford the past two seasons is now enrolled at Suwannee, starting out the second semester in Live Oak.

PREP ROUNDUP: 3 Columbia wrestlers place top 3 at Ricky Gullet Invitational

Columbia’s girls wrestling team placed three wrestlers in the top three at the Ricky Gullet Invitational at Bayshore High School on Saturday. Carlee Morrison (155 class) and Josie Raulerson (235) both took second place, while Bella Guerrier-Lajoir (115) placed third.

PREP WRESTLING: Suwannee finishes runner-up at Class 1A state duals

KISSIMMEE — One year after making its first FHSAA state duals championship tournament appearance, the Suwannee wrestling team topped that Saturday. The Bulldogs beat Hernando 39-27 to advance to the Class 1A state finals at Osceola High School.

PREP ROUNDUP: Columbia girls, Fort White boys pick up hoops wins

BOYS BASKETBALL — Fort White 53, Baker County 48: Tafari Moe scored 16 points, Jayden Jackson finished with 12 points and Brandon DeMartin added 11 points with eight rebounds to help the Indians (13-3) edge the Wildcats (7-10)on the road Friday night.
