Restaurant shooting ends with one killed

JASPER — A Jasper man is in custody after authorities believe he was the triggerman behind a morning shooting that left one dead. Kenneth Cody Izell, 26, was arrested Thursday evening after a shooting incident at Mama’s Burgers, located at 450 5th Ave. NW.

Lafayette Elementary collects for PB challenge

MAYO — Lafayette Elementary School proved up to the (Peanut Butter) challenge. As part of the statewide Peanut Butter Challenge in October, which collected nearly 20,000 jars, Lafayette Elementary School collected 319 jars or 536.5 pounds of peanut butter to benefit the UF/IFAS project.
