WELLBORN — A Wellborn mother faces child abuse charges after leaving her two young children home alone. Brianna Rosendale, 24, was arrested Friday after leaving her two kids, both 5 years old or younger, at home the night before unattended, according to a Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office report.

Jasper woman killed in I-75 crash

ALACHUA — A Jasper woman was killed early Wednesday morning in a crash on Interstate 75 in an attempt to pull up to a previous crash scene. According to a Florida Highway Patrol release, the 29-year-old woman was driving north on I-75 just north Alachua along with a tractor trailer around 2:05 a.m.

LIVE OAK — A Suwannee County double murder suspect is in custody. The Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team arrested 25-year-old Benjamin Savage Ornes on Tuesday for the July 2022 killing of a husband and wife in western Suwannee County.
