Inaugural All Aboard Festival draws large crowd

LIVE OAK — A new festival and a new location led to some uncertain expectations for organizers of the inaugural All Aboard Festival. However, Saturday’s event at Heritage Square in downtown Live Oak was a success, drawing an estimated 4,500 people as well as 67 vendors and eight food trucks.

Supreme Court to weigh abortion constitutional amendment

TALLAHASSEE — Addressing one of the nation’s most politically charged issues, Florida Supreme Court justices on Wednesday heard arguments about a proposed constitutional amendment aimed at guaranteeing abortion rights in the state.

WHITE SPRINGS — A Georgia man was killed after hitting a dump truck that struck an interstate overpass Monday. A dump truck, headed north on Interstate 75 with its lift box elevated, struck the County Road 136 overpass at the White Springs exit just before 9 p.m.

ELLISVILLE — An employee at a truck stop in southern Columbia County was arrested Sunday after stabbing a co-worker. When a deputy from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office responded to a stabbing at Truck Stop 75 in Ellisville around 2:40 a.m.
