Three busted for stealing pickup truck

Three men were arrested early Monday morning after using a master key to steal a pickup in northern Columbia County and then fleeing from authorities on Interstate 10.
A Columbia County Sheriff’s Office report states a victim reported their Dodge pickup stolen around 2:20 a.m.

Lake City man shot, killed in his driveway

A Lake City man was shot and killed in his driveway Monday night in the northwest part of Lake City.
According to the Lake City Police Department, 23-year-old Christopher Alid Cruz Aleman, was shot around 9:50 p.m. Monday.

Plans to bring a Wawa convenience store to Lake City are well underway.
Lake City’s planning and zoning board will consider a site plan for the Wawa at its March 5 meeting for a 5,915-square-foot store at the old I-75 Autos site on Duval Street (U.S. Highway 90).
