PREP CROSS COUNTRY: Columbia boys qualify for regionals, Todd qualifies individually

The Columbia boys placed sixth at the District 2-3A meet on Saturday at Middleburg High School to qualify for regionals, while Reese Todd qualified individually for the girls. Joshua Thompson was the top finisher for the boys, placing 22nd in a time of 18:03.90.

Columbia did its job, and Rickards lost. Now the Tigers will hold their breath and wait to find out if those two results are enough to get them into the playoffs.

LIVE OAK — The decision was already made. Banged up — three more players left with injuries Friday night at Langford Stadium — and Chiles starting to physically wear down Suwannee, the Bulldogs were going for the 2-point conversion and the lead assuming the trick play they were about to run worked.
