The past two seasons didn’t go as planned for Mike Williams. The receiver played out of position at Nebraska and his numbers suffered. So did his NFL draft stock. “It affected it tremendously,” Williams said.

He was once the player of the year in the state of Florida. On Tuesday, he was recognized as one of the best in the past decade. Former Columbia star and current Houston Texans left tackle Laremy Tunsil was named to the MaxPreps All-Decade Team on Tuesday.

Marvin Farmer began to think it was a lost cause. National Signing Day came and went in February and Columbia’s starting center still didn’t have a college offer. “I was kind of worried,” Farmer said. “I was like, ‘Dang, I’ve just got to face the fact that I guess it wasn’t meant to be.
