Jacksonville dropped its final 15 games last season, a franchise-record skid that got general manager Dave Caldwell and coach Doug Marrone fired after a 1-15 season.  The losing streak also allowed the Jaguars to land the No. 1 pick for the first time in their 26-year history.

GAINESVILLE — Florida’s Keyontae Johnson is “patiently waiting” on medical clearance while hoping to play next season. Johnson, a junior forward who collapsed on the court in December and spent 10 days in hospitals, added Wednesday that he has decided not to enter the NBA draft.

Carston Palmer and Tyson Greene threw a combined one-hitter to lead Class 4A No. 3 Suwannee to a 7-0 win over Lafayette at home Monday night. Palmer went four innings in the start, allowing the hit and a walk with a strikeout before Greene went the rest of the way for the Bulldogs (17-5).
