NFL: Veteran coaches Meyer, Culley debut as Texans host Jaguars

HOUSTON — Though Jacksonville’s Urban Meyer and Houston’s David Culley are both making their debuts as NFL head coaches Sunday when the Jaguars and Texans meet, that’s the only possible way you could think of them as rookies.

PREP SWIMMING: Columbia splits meet with Baker

Columbia’s swim teams split with Baker on Thursday, with the boys winning 93-91 while the girls lost 219-251. Between the boys and the girls, 13 swimmers won events for Columbia. Individual winners for the boys included Ian Disosway in the 200 IM (2:20.18) and 100 breaststroke (1:11.

PREP FOOTBALL: Brown, Fulton aim for breakout games to jump-start Columbia's rushing attack

Columbia’s top two running backs from a year ago are both coming off of offseason injuries. Neither one has hit the ground running since returning to the field either. They’re both hoping that changes on Friday at Oakleaf at 7 p.m.
