COLLEGE BASKETBALL: $5M insurance payout awaits Florida's Johnson

GAINESVILLE — A University of Florida basketball player who collapsed during a game last December is deciding whether to try and get medically cleared to play professionally or cash in a $5 million insurance policy.

PREP FOOTBALL: Columbia finally gets a bye, and some much-needed rest

A bye week is here at last for Columbia. The Tigers, physically and mentally exhausted, needed a break more than ever. Columbia (6-4) played 11 straight weeks counting the Preseason Classic, a gauntlet of a schedule that saw zero rest and injuries pile up.
