Suwannee infielder Tyson Greene verbally committed to St. John’s River State College over the weekend. The junior college prospect was an LCR all-area selection in 2021 as a junior, scoring a team-high 25 runs for the Bulldogs. Greene also had .342 batting average with 13 RBIs and a .

PREP VOLLEYBALL: Branford draws Bell in Region 3-1A semifinals

Last week’s District 5-1A title guaranteed Branford a playoff spot. On Sunday, the Buccaneers found out who they’ll face in the Region 3-1A semifinals. Branford (12-6) received the No. 2 seed in the region and will host No. 3 seed Bell (13-12) in the teams’ playoff opener on Nov. 2 at 7 p.m.

JACKSONVILLE — On a night of big plays, it appeared Malachi Graham and Suwannee made the biggest. On the Bulldogs’ first snap of overtime, Graham raced around the right side at William Johnston Stadium and into the end zone for what would have been the game-winning score.
