TALLAHASSEE — Florida State fumbled on the goal line and another first-quarter drive deep into Georgia Tech territory was halted on downs. But the Seminoles made the most of their drives in the second quarter and pulled away to defeat Georgia Tech.

FORT WHITE — The Fort White defense held Chiefland to a 3-and-out to start Senior Night at Arrowhead Stadium. That might’ve been the high point of the night for the Indians though. Chiefland dominated all aspects of the game from there on in a 41-14 thrashing of Fort White.

PREP CROSS COUNTRY: Suwannee boys qualify for state again, Hermanson breaks girls record

Suwannee’s boys placed eighth at the Region 1-2A meet on Friday at New World Golf in Jacksonville to qualify for the state meet for the second straight year. The Bulldogs finished with 210 points to grab the last automatic team bid, while Bolles won the regional title with 33 points.
