BOYS BASKETBALL: Fort White drops defensive struggle to Bradford

FORT WHITE — Indians coach Elven Sheppard said it’s been the same story all season. If it continues, there may not be much of a season left. Fort White stumbled out of the starting gate again Tuesday and trailed by 21 heading into the fourth quarter of a 43-24 loss to Bradford.

VARSITY WEEKLY: Columbia boys move up rankings in tight Region 1-5A race

The Region 1-5A standings in boys basketball tightened even more in the latest FHSAA rankings released Tuesday. Columbia (11-9) jumped from eighth to sixth after going 2-1 with wins over Buchholz playoff contenders Buchholz and Bradford.

MAYO — Tywan Williamson remembers the start to his junior season. Or rather, the lack of starts. Coming off an ankle injury from the Hornets’ spring game, Williamson was held out of the team’s season-opening win over Dixie County before playing sparingly against Suwannee and Brookwood.
