ALACHUA — For 63 long minutes, No. 6 seed Suwannee did all it could to contain No. 3 seed Santa Fe. The Bulldogs had some experience with this before, with their prior two matchups yielding just a one-goal difference.

TALLAHASSEE — Maclay looked every bit the part of a defending state champion against Branford on Tuesday night. Behind a hat trick and an assist from Luke Daunt, the top-seeded Marauders cruised to an 8-0 mercy-rule win over the 8-seed Buccaneers in the Region 1-2A quarterfinals.

No. 4 seed Chiles rolled past No. 5 seed Columbia 62-40 in the District 2-5A quarterfinals Monday night in Tallahassee. Lainey Crisafulli scored 18 points to lead the Timberwolves (14-10) while Logan Poole added 15 and Kaitlyn Fagan finished with 15.
