BOYS BASKETBALL: Fort White pulls close, but can’t rally for victory at Newberry

NEWBERRY — Any time Fort White made a run at the lead, Juwan Scippio took control of the game. The big guard closed out on rebounds, disrupted passing lanes and scored early and often, extinguishing any hope of an Indians comeback in a 60-44 loss on the road.

BOYS BASKETBALL: Columbia gets a 'butt whooping' by Gainesville in worst loss since ’18

GAINESVILLE — The last time Columbia was beaten by 30, Gainesville raised a district trophy back in 2018. While there was no district championship on the line Tuesday night, the result wasn’t any different in the same gym involving the same teams.
