Live Oak officers cleared in fatal shooting

LIVE OAK — A state investigation determined two Live Oak police officers “responded courageously, appropriately, and legally” when they fatally shot a murder suspect on the run earlier this year. The police officers have been cleared for their actions in a manhunt Feb.

County term limits backed in House

The Florida House on Wednesday continued moving forward with a proposed constitutional amendment that would impose eight-year term limits on county commissioners. The proposal also would put term limits in the Constitution for school-board members.

House backs abolishing White Springs town charter, ‘mafia setup’

TALLAHASSEE — A Florida House subcommittee took the “serious” step of supporting a bill to dissolve the Town of White Springs’ charter on Tuesday.

Tallahassee man killed in I-10 crash

LIVE OAK — A Tallahassee man was killed Monday when his car ran into a trailer stopped on Interstate 10 in Suwannee County. According to a Florida Highway Patrol release, the 21-year-old Tallahassee man was headed westbound on I-10  at 12:57 p.m.
