Three killed in a pair of area wrecks

Three people were killed in area traffic crashes during the past two days in Hamilton and Suwannee counties. The first fatal mishap occurred 5:42 p.m. Thursday in Suwannee County when a man from Lake Park, Ga.

NEW YORK — Target, CVS Health, Walgreens and Publix Super Markets on Thursday joined the growing list of national chains that will require customers to wear face masks regardless of where cities or states stand on the issue.  Target’s mandatory face mask policy will go into effect Aug.

The covid-19 outbreak at Columbia Correctional Institution continues to grow.  Health officials on Thursday announced 157 new cases at CCI, bringing the countywide total up to 1,087.

Walmart latest retailer to require wearing of masks

NEW YORK — Walmart will require customers to wear face coverings at all of its namesake and Sam’s Club stores, making it the largest retailer to introduce such a policy that has otherwise proven difficult to enforce without state and federal requirements.

FGC holding two-day enrollment event

Tax deadline arrives Wednesday

Tax Day 2020 was pushed back three months because of the global pandemic. Although the pandemic continues to impact society, the 2019 federal income tax deadline is Wednesday.
