Saving horses from slaughter

Kristine Wake described what generally happens when a horse is the victim of an illegal slaughter. “The horse isn’t typically slaughtered on the property he was stolen from. The person perpetrating the crime will find the easiest access point, a spot that isn’t visible from the house.

Storm rips the South to shreds, but Columbia County avoids the worst of it

While locally reports of downed trees and power outages were plentiful, Columbia County and surrounding areas were largely spared the brunt of a storm that stretched all the way to New England and resulted in at least five deaths across the South.

ADA playground nearing finish

Columbia County’s first playground catering to the needs of children with physical disabilities  is expected to open by early April, according to county officials.

Not Guilty: Split Senate acquits Trump of impeachment
