Suwannee wraps up ‘intense’ budget season

WASHINGTON — An influential federal advisory panel overwhelmingly rejected a plan Friday to give Pfizer covid-19 booster shots to most Americans, but it endorsed the extra shots for those who are 65 or older or run a high risk of severe disease.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention tallied 50,811 deaths after adding more than 1,500 covid-19 deaths provided Thursday by the state’s health department.

LIVE OAK — Suwannee County’s administrator and attorney did nothing wrong in a protested land deal. The Florida Commission on Ethics cleared Randy Harris, county administrator, and Jimmy Prevatt, county attorney, at a hearing Friday, finding no probable cause.
