Covid cases spike in Florida

Florida saw a significant jump in the number of new covid-19 cases in the past week, a surge noted by the head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as part of a “pandemic of unvaccinated.

LIVE OAK — Six schools in the Suwannee County School District will have a new-look leadership team this fall. The changes were a domino effect from the retirement in February of Bill Brothers as one of the district’s assistant superintendent and the promotion of Malcolm Hines to fill that vacancy.

Community of Springville celebrates its history with reunion every 4th of July

Every 4th of July, the community of Springville has held an annual homecoming that has brought together its citizens for longer than the oldest living attendees can remember. The celebration is at least 90 years old but probably dates back to the early turn of the twentieth century.
