Wellborn man hit, killed on Interstate 75

GAINESVILLE — A Wellborn man was hit and killed while walking along Interstate 75 in Gainesville on Thursday. According to a Florida Highway Patrol release, a tractor trailer headed north on I-75 just past the Archer Road interchange hit the 50-year-old Wellborn man around 4:45 p.m.

District: North Florida enjoyed wet November

LIVE OAK — North Florida experienced a wetter November than normal, according to the Suwannee River Water Management District. According to the district’s hydrologic conditions report for November, the district’s average rainfall in November was 3.

Live Oak parade moved to Friday

LIVE OAK — The Live Oak Christmas parade is on the move once more. The lighted parade, which follows the final day of the annual Christmas on the Square festival, was postponed from its Dec. 2 date due to the threat of inclement weather.
