LCHS civil theft trial set for November

The civil theft trial involving the Lake City-Columbia County Humane Society and two of its former employees has been scheduled for November. The trial date of Nov. 22-23 were set by Judge Bill Blue in Columbia County Court last week.

Sometimes making a new friend is as simple as responding to a wave. Lake City police officer Michael Craig’s response to a wave from a local youngster not only made the child’s day, but highlighted the LCPD’s efforts to improve its relationship with residents in the community — young and old.
