Two minor accidents involving school buses ended with no apparent injuries Tuesday. During closing remarks at the Columbia County School Board meeting Tuesday night, board member Keith Hudson gave an update on some “good news, bad news.

Toxic Roundup draws hundreds

Nearly 200 Columbia County residents took advantage of an opportunity to rid their homes and property of toxic materials Saturday during the annual Toxic Roundup.

The Columbia High School color guard unit recently completed its indoor competition season with a top-10 finish in its division, capping off a historic year that saw the team reach new heights.

Human remains were found in the Osceola National Forest on Tuesday afternoon, spurring a Columbia County Sheriff’s Office investigation. Foul play is suspected in the death, according to the sheriff’s office.

Parade of Homes showcase returns April 29-30

North Florida’s premier home-building showcase is about ready for its grand unveiling once again. The sixth annual Parade of Homes, sponsored by the Lake City Reporter and the Columbia County Builders’ Association, returns April 29-30. The showcase will last from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Medical use close to LSHA campus return
