Gallery offers patrons a look at ‘trippy’ exhibit

There’s something strange going on at the Gateway Art Gallery and even some of the artists in the North Florida Art League have been surprised by the findings. “It’s trippy,” said Bill Thum, who was staring at art pieces wearing polarized 3D glasses.

Hutto pleads guilty; sentenced to 12 years

WEST PALM BEACH — A Wellborn millionaire will be spending 12 years in state prison after pleading guilty to killing a Lake City teenager two years ago. Troy Hutto, 56, changed his plea in a hearing Thursday morning in Palm Beach County, pleading guilty to manslaughter with a firearm.

Saint Leo shuttering Lake City location

After a quarter of a century, Lions will no longer be produced in Lake City. Saint Leo University announced Thursday that it was closing eight of its 14 education centers, including the Lake City Education Center. The closures are to occur within the next six months.

County eyes hashing out special use permits

Science fair returns to Florida Gateway

More than 20 students, representing seven schools in the region, and their science fair display boards filled the lounge area of the Wilson S. Rivers Media Center on the Florida Gateway College campus Thursday morning.
