NFL: Some teams reopen training facilities with government OK

A limited number of NFL teams reopened their training facilities Tuesday, while many were prohibited by government restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic. Commissioner Roger Goodell gave the 32 clubs the go-ahead for limited reopenings as long as state and local municipalities allow them.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Florida to face Oklahoma next 2 seasons

NORMAN, Okla. — Oklahoma coach Lon Kruger will return to the University of Florida as the opposing coach for the first time in 2021. Oklahoma announced Tuesday the schools have scheduled a home-and-home series the next two seasons. The Sooners expect to host the Gators on Dec.

NFL teams can begin reopening their facilities on Tuesday if state and local governments will allow it.

PREP FOOTBALL: Columbia defensive lineman Terrick Ponds commits to ASA College

Terrick Ponds believes he’s a Division I football player. He plans to prove that at ASA College in Miami. Columbia’s defensive tackle verbally committed to the Silver Storm on Friday, a little less than nine months removed from tearing his ACL just two games into his senior season.

CORONAVIRUS: DeSantis willing to host teams for restart of sports

TALLAHASSEE — Florida is willing to be a restart site for professional sports leagues, just like Arizona, when play resumes following shutdowns caused by the new coronavirus.
