Columbia defeated Buchholz 151-173 on Tuesday at the Country Club of Lake City thanks to an under-par performance from Ty Folsom. Folsom shot a 1-under-35 to lead the Tigers. Spencer McCranie finished with a 38, while Connor Williams and Zach Shaw both carded a 39.

Saturday’s season opener produced mixed results for Columbia’s cross country teams. The boys placed 20th at the Bob Hans Invitational hosted by Ridgeview, while the girls didn’t field enough runners to score as a team due to top runner Audrey Fender sitting out with a leg injury.
