PREP ROUNDUP: FWHS girls finish undefeated at home for first time in program history

Fort White’s girls basketball team followed up a 74-42 win over Cedar Key on Monday to top Union County 49-33 on Tuesday in District 6-1A action to finish the season undefeated at home for the first time in program history.

AUTO RACING: Winter Nationals coming up at All-Tech Raceway

The 2022 dirt track racing season is set to begin in Columbia County next month when All-Tech Raceway hosts some of the best racers from across the country in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Winter Nationals. The races will take place Feb. 3-5 at All-Tech Raceway, 1024 SW Howell Road.

BOYS & GIRLS SOCCER: Several area teams are underdogs in district tournaments

The district tournament brackets are set for soccer. Here’s how they look: COLUMBIA BOYS Columbia (6-12-2) is the No. 5 seed in District 2-6A and will travel to No. 4 Lincoln (7-8-3) on Wednesday at 7 p.m., with the winner then facing top-seed Chiles (15-1) on Friday at 7 p.m.
