LIVE OAK – The Region 1-1A meet was twice as nice for the Suwannee on Friday. Hosting the meet, the Bulldogs won the region in both the traditional event as well as the snatch event, duplicating their district success from a week ago.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Already-thin Florida loses big man Jitoboh for season

GAINESVILLE — Already-thin Florida will be without center Jason Jitoboh for the remainder of the season following eye surgery Friday. Jitoboh, a 285-pound junior who lost more than 50 pounds in the offseason, took a finger to his left eye late in the first half Wednesday night at Tennessee.

GIRLS SOCCER: Leon shut outs Columbia in District 2-6A quarterfinals

Columbia had lost to Leon twice in the regular season in a pair of one-goal decisions. The third time was not the charm. The Tigers dropped their District 2-6A quarterfinal matchup to the Lions at home Wednesday night in a 3-0 decision. The game might not’ve been as close as the score indicates.
