Clock tower’s return to Mayo slowed down

MAYO — Time has slowed down on the Lafayette County Courthouse getting its clock tower back. According to Steve Land, the county’s clerk of court and comptroller, the crane to restore the clock tower to the top of the courthouse has been delayed.

MAYO — The landscape of the Town of Mayo is getting a quick makeover ahead of the Independence Day weekend. The Lafayette Board of County Commissioners met Monday afternoon to discuss several items of importance coming up.

White Springs goes all in on internet cafes

WHITE SPRINGS — The population of White Springs was ready to ante up. Now the town’s council is finally pushing all-in. The White Springs Town Council unanimously approved an ordinance at its Tuesday meeting allowing internet cafes and other gaming devices to be operated within the city limits.
