Suspect is jailed in November robbery

A Lake City man was arrested on a warrant Monday for his alleged involvement in a November robbery at Club Rodeo, where two suspects held up a man at gunpoint in the club’s parking lot.

Passerby sees child left in car, makes life-saving call to cops

First responders rescued a baby left unattended in a car Monday afternoon as the child’s caregiver shopped nearby. Units from the Lake City Police Department, Lake City Fire Department and Century Ambulance responded to the scene at Lake City Plaza at 1:37 p.m.

Suspect nabbed after fleeing traffic stop, hiding near 5 Points

Authorities late Monday morning chased a runaway traffic stop suspect into a quiet neighborhood north of Lake City.  Around 11:10 a.m., a deputy pulled over a silver Chevrolet passenger car on Interstate 10. The driver, 29-year-old Breon Walker, sped away from the traffic stop and exited onto U.S.

Woman falls from pickup, is killed

Less than 10 hours after his girlfriend fell to her death from his Ford pickup, a Lake City man was jailed early Sunday for leaving the scene of the accident that claimed her life, FHP said. Ryan LeBoss, 44, of SW Randall Terrace, remains incarcerated without bail, online records show.
