Jobless rate on the rise in Columbia County

Unemployment took a sharp swing upward in Columbia County between February and March, reversing a slight downward trend seen over the past year, according to data from the U.S. Department of Labor. The unemployment rate rose from 3.1 percent in February to 4.4 percent in March.
